"Dare to believe in the reality of your assumption and watch the world play its part relative to its fulfillment." ~ Neville Goddard
Want new results for your life? Change your mindset... to one of possibility.
Neville Goddard (1905–1972) was a spiritual teacher, mystic, and author who taught that your inner world (thoughts, feelings, assumptions) directly creates your outer reality. He was born in Barbados and later moved to the United States. He started off studying theater and dance, but eventually turned fully to metaphysical and spiritual teachings. Two of his most famous works are: The Power of Awareness (1952) and Feeling is the Secret (1944)
Imagination is the creative force of life. To create a new reality, according to Nevile Goddard, the following are 11 things to release to live a fulfilling and satisfying life, unblocking consciousness, opening up access to higher levels of awareness.
- Negative Self-Talk: Your inner dialogue shapes your reality. Speak life into yourself. Be aware of what your own listening to yourself is, the impact it is having on you and your heart, and mindset, and what you are responding to. Get the diminishing, abusive, and trauma-reinforcing voices out of your head and embrace self-love and validation instead. You hold the keys.
- Doubt and Fear: Faith is the fuel of creation. Doubt and fear weaken manifestation. Doubt and fear literally make us sick. Let them go and embrace faith-aligned healing instead.
- Complaining and Blaming: Owning your reality returns your power to you. Notice what's inside your complaints, as this can point to what you really care about - your values! Align with your values and get intentional about that. Stop the blame game - and the shame game that usually rides shotgun to blame. Let this paradigm go and embrace the beauty, peace, and freedom that comes with it.
- Old Identity and Labels: You are not your past mistakes or the names you’ve been called. You are not your past actions, and this does not have to define you. Remember, you hold the keys.
- Toxic Relationships: Choose to be surrounded by those who uplift and inspire. Do not maintain attachments with those who thrive on your smallness. Do not maintain attachments to those who insist you are someone who gives them power or control over your life and psychological and emotional well-being. It is okay to walk away, and in fact, could be seen as an essential act of defiance for reclaiming your healing and joy.
- Scarcity Mindset: Focus on abundance, not lack. Become aware of what your unique scarcity matrix is that catches you in its web. Learn this and realize that you hold the keys to freedom from this matrix. You can choose.
- Living in the Past: The past is not your prison unless you let it be. The past and what has occurred do not have to define you. You ultimately hold the keys.
- Over-attachment to the 'How': Trust the unfolding. Your role is the what, not the how... trust the actions you take based on your values and intentions aligned with your highest purpose and calling.
- Resistance to Change: Growth requires surrender to transformation. Change is a natural and organic part of life. Embrace and befriend it.
- External Validation: Your worth is inherent. No one else needs to approve it. Seek it from your highest Self, your relationship with higher power, and those who truly get you and have done their own work. Do not trust your validation to others who don't deserve that level of power.
- Procrastination: Embody the life you want now; act from your future self, living from the possibility you have created.
Here are 5 Ways to Bloom a Life You Love by Living in and from Possibility
Once you clear the soil, it’s time to plant new seeds of possibility. Here's how therapists, and anyone, can nurture the garden of their highest life:
1. Shift from Problem-Solving to Vision-Creation: Focus on what you want to create, not just what you want to eliminate. Ask yourself:
"What dream have I not yet dared to name?"
2. Name and Disrupt Limiting Beliefs: Identify and challenge the inner narratives that confine you. New thoughts create new worlds.
3. Use the Body as a Gateway to Possibility: Move, feel, and embody new states. Let your body rehearse freedom, joy, and expansion.
4. Model and Speak the Language of Possibility: Language is the architect of reality. Practice speaking in ways that open new doors:
"What if...?"
"Could it be that...?"
5. Encourage Micro-Experiments in Change: Small actions compound. Each step taken from your highest vision reinforces that you are already blooming. Living in and from Possibility is not just a mindset. It is an embodied way of being where you remember that the power to create your life has always been yours.
YOU HOLD THE KEYS.
