As a highly sensitive feeler myself, I get this. I invite you to experience a powerful day of healing expression and sharing.  Give yourself permission to take a day of self care, validation, expression, and rest. Give yourself permission to love yourself this way. Give yourself permission to feel in an empowering context.

The you who is taking care of everyone else, while struggling to put yourself first. The you who is on the go, go, go, doing just so much, and rarely has a moment to pause and breathe, let alone feel your feelings to their fullest extent. The you who deeply desires to feel connection, validation, love, and support in your nuclear family or inner circle, but is not experiencing this to your satisfaction and doesn't know what to do about that. Maybe it's because of all the demands on your time, energy, and attention. Maybe it's because of the limitations that exist in your primary relationships. Whatever the reasons, this day is designed for YOU to pause, breathe, and feel.

So often we do the opposite of honoring and allowing feeling - we suppress our feelings because we carry stories... for example, the story that feelings are not real, because you can't see them or touch them, like a desk or a chair is tangible. Or, perhaps you carry the meaning that to express feelings means your are weak, and you want to be strong. Or, maybe you've been told, "don't cry, or I'll give you something to cry about." Or, "I don't like it when you cry, because it make me feel sad or bad." Or, maybe you lack the skills (or, fear you lack the skills) to manage intense feelings safely. So, you numb them... with substances or other escaping/distracting behaviors. Or, perhaps you believe that showing anger is not kind, or appropriate, or something you should never do because it was frowned up, so you suppress it until you either implode or explode, causing harm and more pain. Or, maybe you simply don't have time to feel, because you're too busy taking care of your children, or others in your life who need you. Then, there's shame, so sneaky and sly, and with its comrade guilt, can keep us stuck in self-created prisons for a life sentence. Fear is an illusion, and often pointing to something that's not even real or there, usually from the past. And, joy and happiness can feel so fleeting. Truthfully, feelings are so powerful. And if you don't allow them and learn to be with them and honor them skillfully, they will flood you like a tsumami, creating an unmanageable life of suffering.

The goal of this Breakthrough by Design, In Person Retreat is fourfold:

1. Relax into identifying, appreciating, processing, and releasing your feelings.

2. Create relief, clarity, and discovery from the opening that releasing your feelings and distinguishing the facts from within this can allow for.

3. Design a breakthrough for addressing whatever it is in your life that's impeding your ability to be with your feelings without numbing.

4. Turn this into your unique formula for growth for this area of your life. 

What you can expect from the day:

THE DAY BEFORE THE RETREAT:

We will gather for an hour on Zoom to say an initial hello to meet, and create our intentions for our experience together.

THE MORNING OF THE RETREAT:

Starting at 9:00 a.m. Eastern, done in a small group of women, in person, we will honor your feelings and needs. Through mindful writing, embodied techniques for warming up to sharing, pausing through shares to enhance staying present, and through sophisticated, open and keen listening without analysis or judgement, you will be gotten. You will be listened to deeply and seen for who you are. You will only receive feedback, if you would like it. Otherwise, your expression will be held as sacred and honored as such. You can also receive reflection of what your sharing catalyzed for others from within their experience. This will be our morning.

LUNCH:

We will be together for lunch if you'd like, and will be ordered from Ovenbird. It will be around noon. It is also fine to take time for yourself for lunch, for a walk, quite reflection, or whatever feels right to you.

THE AFTERNOON OF THE RETREAT:

From the experience in the morning, the intent is for you to have a breakthrough about whatever thought, pattern and/or belief has been holding you back when it comes to allowing feeling and how you would like to experience growth in this area. This will get cleared allowing for an opening to a new way of being. You will then be invited to embody dramatically (meaning through action techniques used in the group process) a future projection of this new way of being. We will close the day around 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

HOMEWORK:

Create a collage (using Canva, something similar) symbolizing your breakthrough into your new way of being, embodying the core message/mantra that is your new possibility as it relates to healing and honoring your feelings.

THE DAY AFTER THE RETREAT:

We will gather for an hour on Zoom to share about your homework and reflections from the previous day together.

THE LOCATION FOR THE IN PERSON PART OF THE RETREAT:

Belmont, MA, exact address will be provided to registrants.There is plenty of free parking.

$500 including lunch
